Creativity 101: The act of living is an art, according to Ayurveda, and the art of living is in the practices that cultivate well-being. It just so happens that good practices for this are linked to greater creativity, which in itself contributes to greater happiness.
Studies show that you need to be creative, generative, positive, committed, present and aware to optimize overall health, good immune function and more. Doing creative things is also a proven mood enhancer, but what seems like it may be different for each of us. What remains the same is the mindset that allows creative impulses to flow. We should all engage in practices that involve unrestricted observation rather than restrictive repetition. We need to start training our mind to notice everything from inner sensations to mood and feelings as well as smells and tastes in the present moment, keeping our attention flexible and unrestricted.

When you have taught yourself to be more open to experience, you will increase your creative impulses so that creativity thrives in an open, receptive, flexible, and non-judgmental mind. The undeniable truth is that the acts of creativity, whether it be writing poetry, pottery, painting, writing, creative problem solving at work or open resolution, the empathic resolution of a discussion, are keys to increasing happiness and satisfaction. At the very least, creative thinking states are known to improve memory, reduce rigid thought processes, and encourage flexibility.
In many ways, creativity is the art of being open to what is. Here are four basic things to think about when it comes to mediation or life, in general, without judgment or expectation:
1. Act with awareness and attention.
Even for a few short minutes, he participates with undivided attention and without opinions.
2. Observe everything around you.
Observe internal phenomena such as bodily sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts, and external phenomena such as sight, sound, smell, touch.
3. Look, but don’t think about it too much.
Observe without analyzing and experiment with your environment without processing it judiciously.
4. Accept the situation.
Start moving away from “I can control and change this or that“a”That’s what it is.“From”I can’t do this, it’s too hard “ a “This may be difficult, but let’s see what I can do with it today. ” Laugh or shake your head, but don’t evaluate the experience of the present moment.
You can be serious and still take it easy. Negativity has a detrimental effect on creativity, shutting the mind, while judgmental and vagabond optimism makes freedom of thought so essential to creativity.
